The Lubuskie Regional Operational Programme 2007-2013 (LROP)

The LROP is funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. The main goal of the Fund is to create opportunities to increase the competitiveness of the Lubuskie region on the basis of its internal potential, as well as preventing the exclusion of areas in danger of exclusion, including rural areas, thus enhancing regional cohesion. The Lubuskie voivodeship has received community assistance to the sum of EUR 439.17 million for allocation between 2007 and 2013 within the framework of the LROP.

The specific objectives have been encapsulated in five priorities:

  • Development of the infrastructure to enhance the competitiveness of the region,
  • Stimulating investment growth in enterprises and strengthening innovation potential,
  • Protection and management of the resources of the natural environment,
  • Development and modernisation of social infrastructure/facilities,
  • Development and modernisation of tourism and culture infrastructure.
