The only trouble that we have with storks in our province is the name of the village where they nest in huge numbers. Shortly after the war, only two pairs nested here. At present, about twenty pairs prepare for hatching, and the number continues to grow. The birds have perfect living conditions here. Wet meadows and pastures of the Krzesiński Landscape Park situated in the valley of the middle Oder with the estuary of Nysa Łużycka River provide storks with food.
The comprehensive education about storks may be completed in the White Stork Museum in Kłopot ("Trouble"), or on the 24-kilometre cycling path, where ten educational boards are erected.
